And that's a wrap for CANSEC 2026. What a remarkable two days it has been for the Optii team.
As first-time exhibitors, Optii leaves CANSEC incredibly encouraged by the momentum, conversations, and progress made throughout the event. From live demonstrations of Optii technology to engagement with defence leaders, government, military, and industry peers, the experience exceeded expectations.
CANSEC also reinforced something Optii strongly believes: Ottawa is rapidly positioning itself as Canada's defence technology capital. With its concentration of innovators, research institutions, government decision-makers, and growing defence ecosystem, the city is primed to help lead the next generation of sovereign Canadian defence innovation.
Optii is proud to be part of that story. The team is grateful for the support of ecosystem partners including the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service and Invest Ottawa, and for the strong platform CADSI created for defence, security, and emerging technology organizations to connect.
CADSI ran a record-setting show, with more than 21,300 registered attendees. The scale of the event helped put Ottawa in the spotlight and created a valuable environment for Optii to open discussions with several national and international organizations.
