On September 29, 2025, Optii was invited by the GCExpo team to exhibit at Area X.O and demonstrate the Optii sensor to Canadian industry, government, and Canadian Armed Forces members.

The engagement gave the Optii team an opportunity to show its passive photonic RF sensing work in an outdoor demonstration environment and speak directly with stakeholders focused on Canadian defence innovation, operational technology, and deployable sensing capabilities.

Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe was also in attendance and met with the Optii team during the event, supporting visibility for Ottawa-based deep-tech innovation and defence-relevant commercialization activity.
